How the predictions work
GT7Info, which records both dealerships every day, estimates how many days each car has left. We checked those estimates against the next day's lists over the year to October 2026: all 12,977 cars expected to stay did, and 1,502 of the 1,505 expected to leave did. The other three were sold-out cars still listed a day longer. Estimates further ahead are looser, right to the exact day about 97% of the time. A car with no estimate yet isn't counted as staying, because about one in eight of those is gone the next day.
What returns is an estimate. We look at how long each car is usually gone, how often it has been back this year, and whether the cars it usually returns with have just come back. Each of those was measured against the record of both dealerships since March 2022 rather than guessed.
Polyphony doesn't announce the lists, so read these as odds. We tested the method on 269 days it hadn't seen, from February to October 2026: 71% of its top 20 were back within a week, about twice the rate of picking cars whose wait has reached their average, and 24% of its top 10 were back the very next day.
